The Process
If you've never comissioned to have a mural painted before the prospect may seem a bit daunting. Here at Sun & Moon Murals, I make the process as simple and enjoyable as possible. Listed below are the most common steps involved.
Brainstorming
Since deciding upon a mural can be an uncertain process, I offer a free, no commitment consultation. I'll come to your home and together we will study the space and begin by discussing what it is that you want to have done. This includes determining the measurements of the space that is to be muralized and deciding what the mural design and subject matter will be. If you have a clear idea as to what you want to have done, then this process is relatively simple and quick. If you're undecided, then we will brainstorm ideas and concepts to determine exactly what you want.
Research & Development
Each mural project is unique. In some cases I will work directly from research materials and in others I will create sketches or scale color studies. Which direction we take depends upon the scale and complexity of the project as well as the preferences of the client.
